ASHLAND CULINARY FESTIVAL

The Festival is a four-day destination event as 12 local chefs compete for Top Chef honor in the Chef Showdown using local produce and a secret key ingredient and challenge. Guests have fun learning and tasting at culinary workshops throughout the weekend. Sample and purchase with over 30 food artisans, farms, restaurants, award winning wineries and breweries. The event begins with the Ultimate Top Chef Dinner on Thursday evening, November 2nd. On Friday, enjoy an afternoon wine tour, an evening kick-off event including our 2nd annual Mixology Competition, a NEW Celebrity Quick-Fire Challenge and samplings. On Saturday, witness our 2nd annual Junior Chef Competition at the Festival where local junior chefs compete for the Junior Chef title and a chance to shadow our Festival Judges. On Saturday and Sunday, you can view the Top Chef Competition while enjoying vendor samplings around the room.

Thursday, November 2n

Ultimate Top Chef Dinner: 5:30pm
Ashland Hills Hotel & Suites (Stardust Lounge)

Second annual: Honoring the history of our event, join us for the Ultimate Top Chef Dinner on Thursday, November 2nd - 5:30pm at Ashland Hills Hotel & Suites, our Festival Headquarters. Enjoy a five-course dinner and pre-dinner appetizers prepared by some of our amazingly talented past Top Chef Winners (including Neil Clooney of Smithfields Restaurant & Bar - Top Chef 2007 & 2008), Franco Console of Larks Restaurant - Top Chef 2009, James Williams previously of Omar's Fresh Seafood & Steaks - Top Chef 2014 and Josh Dorcak of MÄS - Top Chef 2015 and 2016). Each course will be paired with a local wine or brew. The menu will be released in September, but this is a dinner you won’t want to miss! Tickets are $85 per person or can be purchased as part of a 4-day VIP Package. Seating is limited.

Friday's Culinary Kickoff Even: 5:30pm to 7:00pm

Then attend our evening event, a Culinary Kickoff, from 5:30pm to 7:00pm at the Ashland Hills which includes the 2nd annual Mixology competition (where local bartenders will compete for Top Mixologist), watch a NEW Celebrity Quick-Fire Cooking Challenge, samplings by the Bear Creek Wine Trail, small bites and more!

Advancement: One chef with the highest score from each round will advance to the FINAL Round on Sunday, November 5th from 3:00 – 4:30pm. The fourth position in the FINAL round will be a “Wild Card” Chef – selected by the Judges, from the nine non-qualifying competitors, based on a similar set of judging guidelines as the previous rounds.
