Kids of all ages are invited to show off their costumes, and trick or treat at all customer service desks. Please note that no masks can be worn in the library by any person of any age. Jackson County Library staff will display the results of their pumpkin-carving talents throughout the library. Please check out the staff pumpkins on the service desks and stop by the Children’s Department to decorate a trick-or-treat bag.

1ST ANNUAL SCARECROW FESTIVAL
Also this very same day, in association with RoxyAnn Winery’s 5th annual Pumpkins, Wines & Good Times, join us for our very first Scarecrow contest.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
- Pick up a Scarecrow stand and entry form in the tasting room at RoxyAnn Winery
- Decorate your Scarecrow – be as creative as you’d like!
- Return it to RoxyAnn Winery before Friday, October 20th at 5 pm to be entered into the contest
- Entry fee $15 (includes a Scarecrow stand)

5TH ANNUAL PUMPKINS WINES & GOOD TIMES
Come out to RoxyAnn Winery on Saturday, October 21st from 2 PM to 5 PM, for an afternoon of pumpkin carving, live music and a bite to eat. Choose a pumpkin from our pumpkin patch or simply watch your neighbor carve. There will be a “Kiddie Table” for young ones to decorate a pumpkin with supervision.
The Monster Ball Pasta Party is a fabulous good time for the entire community and is emceed by OSF actor Christiana Clark!
An all-you-can-eat pasta dinner that includes juices and coconut water from Odwalla!
All events and food included in admission price, except for the beer and wine which can be purchased by guests 21 and over.

Come in costume and enter the Costume Contest (6:30pm) – costumes are NOT required to come to the party, but are encouraged for fun! Test out your race costume, or come in a completely different one! There will be a non-competitive costume parade, followed by a costume contest ON STAGE at the Historic Armory at 6:30pm during the Monster Ball Pasta Party. DJ & HIS MONSTER MIX!
We have a fabulous DJ, and he’s also an Ashland High Teacher! Alan Parowski has been DJ’ing events for many years, and has a great collection of Halloweeny music plus a show of Halloween film and cartoon clips to go with the music. Thanks so much to Alan for donating his services every year to make our Monster Ball a rocking good time.

Eagle Point, Ore. Church on the Hill will host a Family Carnival Night on Thursday, October 26th from 7-8:30pm at 400 Stevens Road in Eagle Point. This is the seventh year that the church has put on the free fall family event. While the carnival is open to the public it is geared toward local families with children. The evening event will include games, a cupcake walk, free food, raffle prizes, and tours and treats for all participants.
