Old-fashioned lilacs, hellebores, columbine, peonies, iris, daylilies and many more plants from the farm have been potted for the two-day sale. More than 50 varieties of shrubs, perennials and herbs are available for purchase. There are some pink, double, Old Garden Rose bushes along with a white Moss Rose, and a yellow rose that appears to be started from the Log Town Rose, brought by early pioneers to the valley.
There are even a few pots of green fig trees available for purchase. These are from the huge fig tree that graces the front of the large 1910 barn visible from Hanley Road. They are two-year- old trees.
There will be a special exhibit this year of miniature Faery Gardens, and at least one of them will be raffled to a lucky winner!
Two special activities will also take place. Saturday from noon to 3pm, children are welcome to come and make kites. And on Sunday, from noon to 3pm, there will be a tea tent. The Hanley Sisters used to have tea parties on the lawns around their home. You can do the same.
Wagon rides will be available as will food for purchase. Enjoy the beautiful surroundings of this special landscape at the heart of the Rogue Valley and take home one-of- a-kind plants.
