Open to Grades 6-10*, Britt Rock Camp will take place at Jacksonville Elementary School from July 13-17. A final camp showcase will be held on July 18 in a location to be determined. Each participant will be assigned an instrument for the week. Applicants will be asked to rank each instrument in order of preference. We will do our best to honor applicants’ instrument preferences, but we do need an even distribution of instrumentation to form bands. We cannot accommodate instrument changes once an instrument has been assigned. Each day will include group instrument instruction, band practice, workshops, and all-group activities.

*Students entering grades 11-12 who attended camp in 2025 are also welcome to apply.

Core activities include:

• Instrument instruction (vocals, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, electric bass, drums, keyboards)

• Songwriting

• Forming bands, choosing a band name, designing a band logo

• Screen printing band shirts • Learning about sound systems, recording, live sound techniques

• Performing publicly
