 TI’LOMIKH FALLS

Gold Hill, Oregon

2.7 MILES ROUND-TRIP | EASY

Ti’lomikh Falls is more of a series of rapids that is not necessarily for swimming, but is well known for being a favorite challenging spots for rafters and kayakers alike. In years past there has been talk about creating an Olympic Whitewater Center; maybe in years to come it will come to fruition. In the meantime you can take the 2.7 mile round-trip hike along the Rogue River to view the falls from a parking area right off of highway 234. Much of the beauty in this hike is knowing that you are walking where the indigenous people of our land lived and walked, and while the history isn’t always an easy one to learn it teaches us much as we continue to grow what we need to change for the future. If you have the time you can visit the Storytelling Stone, a historical marker, where the Salmon Ceremony has been performed in years gone by. Directions to the Storytelling Stone can be found HERE
