SOUTHERN OREGON LAVENDER FESTIVAL WITH THE FAMILY
Every June, in early summer, Southern Oregon lavender farms come alive to show off their beautiful, blooming fields. In celebration, the Southern Oregon Lavender Trail kicks the season off with the Southern Oregon Lavender Festival. Each lavender farm, offers a variety of activities throughout the season so that everyone gets the opportunity to fully experience the farms in all of their glory. Visit one or all of them in one day to enjoy the festivities starting June 23rd - 25th for the first festival of the season!
THE ENGLISH LAVENDER FARM
The English Lavender Farm i sjust one of the lavender farms that you can visit, and they always have a full schedule for the Lavender Festival weekends. Shop vendors, enjoy delicious food flavored with hints of lavender, and listen to live music in addition to shopping their farm store that is stocked full of lavender scented gifts, teas, and even chocolates.
To start out we walked through to look at some of the guest vendors on site and then through their charming, little farm store. I found the prettiest handmade, lavender crown for Olivia to wear for the perfect photos when we strolled through the lavender fields. We then steered our way out of the farm store to the shaded patio where tables with umbrellas were set up so that we could sit and enjoy the live music and grab a bite to eat. As expected the day was full of lavender; we enjoyed lavender-strawberry lemonade, lavender cider, and nibbled tasty lavender dishes from a local chef. We watched artists recreate the lavender fields with acrylics and water colors, and watched ladies make lavender wreaths, and of course the view was breathtakingly beautiful.
While my grandma and dad sat and enjoyed the music, Olivia and I took the opportunity to walk through the lavender fields enjoying the various types and many colors that lavender is; light purple, classic lavender, and we even found some pink. It was so exquisite and serene as we walked to take in the view from the top of the hill.

Whether you make it to all six farms or just one, you will be enchanted by the intoxicating scent and gorgeous views of the lavender fields. You will want to pull up a chair and just sit, taking it all in; if only for the serenity, it is most definitely worth the trip out to the Southern Oregon Lavender Trail.
