Participants will learn chants, a cheer, a dance and jumps taught by the Crater Cheerleaders in a fun-filled environment. All participants will get the opportunity to perform with the cheerleaders at halftime of the first home Crater Varsity football game. Each Junior Cheerleader will receive poms and a t-shirt.

Ages 9 to 13

Junior chefs will learn 4 different cuisines and cultures from around the world, all the while learning new kitchen skills and techniques. Each day we will visit a new country and cook up a entree, side dishes and a dessert. This is a more advanced class and all camps are hands-on!! In this class we will get into all of the exciting scientific workings of cooking. Each class is hands on as we explore some science experiments and how those ingredients work in recipes. Great for the child who loves science and cooking! These classes have been designed to show kids 8-14, eating healthy can taste great. We will be using essential oils, gluten-free, and dairy free options to create amazing summer snacks. Our hope is to show kids alternative food choices can be fun.

Join us for an action packed kids cooking camp that will empower your child with the skills needed to make healthy snacks, breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. Camps run 4 days in a row for 3 hours each day. Our day camps often include extra fun activities like cooking contests, fun fitness activities, nutrition games, cooking videos, and more. This is our 8 hour Core Cooking Program that recognizes your child with a Certificate of Completion. Parents are also highly encouraged to order either a Kids Kit or Kids Workbook when attending this program. Additional fees for these items may apply.

Each full day of camp will include morning instruction at three stations (full swing, putting, chipping), plus rules & etiquette, games, lunch and nine holes of golf in the afternoon, with an instructor accompanying each group.

RESOURCES AND PEOPLE CAMP

Applications are due May 5, 2017, or until all vacancies are filled. Applications are now being accepted from students between the ages of 13 to 18 from both rural and urban areas. They can be dowloaded at: https://www.blm.gov/rapcamp

The 26th annual RAP Camp will be held the week of June 11 to 17, 2017, at Camp Esther Applegate located at Lake of the Woods, Oregon.

The RAP Camp program is designed to educate students about natural resource management. Students have the opportunity to take part in hands-on natural resource sessions, outdoor recreation activities, and educational field trips. The camp allows kids to learn more about resources like fire ecology, wildlife, forestry, fisheries, archeology, wetlands, and botany – as well as careers in those fields. It also engages students in many outdoor activities like hiking, birding, swimming, and canoeing.

Students attending the camp will have the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and make new friends, while participating in hands-on natural resource activities; a field trip to Crater Lake National Park; Cowboy poetry; a tour of a fish hatchery; astronomy talk; and tribal storytelling. All while sitting around the campfire!

Thanks to contributions from Federal, State, county, and private organizations the registration fee is only $225. Financial aid is available.
