FREE PUPPET SHOW: THERE'S A MONSTER IN MY CLOSET by THE STORYTELLING GUILD

The Storytelling Guild and Tears of Joy Theatre present
This classic Tears of Joy production is performed with a variety of styles of puppets. The boy and the Nightmare are adaptations of Japanese bunraku puppets and the Jabberwocky is performed with three dimensional shadow puppets created from kitchen utensils which fuels the imagination! These stories are tied together by the theme of facing and overcoming our fears. The play addresses childhood fears in ways that will elicit both wonder and giggles.

Admission is FREE TO ALL, but you can support the Storytelling Guild by bringing a new or gently used children’s book to donate. (Or bring your book donation to any branch of the Jackson County Library during the month of January.) These donations support the Guild’s Pass the Book Program, which every year gives 5,000 to 10,000 books to more than 25 agencies that work with children. Don’t miss this opportunity to support the Storytelling Guild and treat your own youngsters to a beloved story.

We highly suggest you get there at least 1/2 an hour early because seats do get filled quickly and not everyone may get in!

BrittKids Koncerts - The Magic Cape

BrittKids Koncerts are FREE to the public - Scout says ALL KIDS of ALL AGES are invited!
All performances start at 10:00am in the Britt Performance Garden.
Note: come prepared for warm weather - bring light clothing, sun screen and lots of water.

BrittKids Koncerts create a fun and casual setting to help local families introduce their children to orchestral instruments and the many styles of music they can play. Developed and created by Jenifer of JenUwin Playtime and Gabriel Globus-Hoenich, these free concerts help the next generation of musicians and audience members learn about different musical traditions in a way that is both engaging and enlightening. All concert programs focus on interactivity with the audience, giving young audience members the chance to participate in live music. Early exposure to live music will increase the interest of children and families in musical activities, such as concert attendance, learning an instrument, and playing in a school ensemble.
